Dr. Lucas S. Flamich, Optometrist
Dr Lucas Flamich, orginally from the Chicagoland area, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. He then pursued his medical training at the Illinois college of Optometry where he earned academic and clinical honors, was awarded the Metro optic Contact Lens Scholarship, and graduated Magna Cum Laude to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2014.
After graduation, Dr. Flamich completed a post-doctoral Residency in Ocular Disease at the Huntington VA Medical Center in West Virginia. After residency, he continued to serve the Huntington veterans while mentoring optometry student externs as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor of the Illinois College of Optometry, Indiana University School of Optometry, and The Ohio state University College of Optometry. He then returned to the Midwest and has established roots in Dubuque, and is thrilled to be part of the Vision Health Center and the surrounding communities. He is a member of the Beta Sigma kappa Honor Society, Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity, and American Optometric Association. Dr. Flamich focuses on providing comprehensive eye care, with an emphasis on ocular disease management, and a special interest in contact lens fittings that include custom and advanced designs.
Dr. Flamich and his wife, Stephanie, have a daughter, Norah, and enjoy outdoor activities, sports, cooking, traveling and spending time with family, friends and their dog Otis.
